Bike Aid
If you are a Lancashire business or school, you can apply for a special grant that will allow you to have cycle facilities fitted at your site for a fraction of the cost.
In the short time that the scheme has been operating, over 400 new bike racks have been fitted at organisations such as libraries, sports centres, offices and factories, as well as local schools.
The type of bike rack that we fit is called a Sheffield Stand. Sheffield Stands are recommended because unlike some other types of rack, they support the bike’s frame. One stand can hold two bikes.
Businesses are required to contribute 50% towards the cost and schools 10%. There may also be opportunities to fund items such as cycle sheds and lockers.
