County Councillor Matthew Tomlinson, cabinet member for environment and transportation, said: “These roadshow events are an excellent chance for members of the public to gather information and advice from local experts and decide on the best form of healthy, sustainable transport for them. “With concerns about climate change and the impact of carbon emissions, now is a great time to look into your transport options, and you may also find yourself saving money, enjoying safer, stress-free journeys, getting healthier and much more. “It doesn’t have to be a major lifestyle change, even small changes to your routine such as walking to the local shops, or catching the bus occasionally to work can make a difference. “Don’t forget, walking and cycling are some of the best forms of exercise and a good way of getting the 30 minutes of moderate exercise a day that health experts recommend.” For further information on the Roadshows contact Pennine Events on The Cycling Roadshow will be appearing at: • Accrington Market Place Tues 8th April All events are from 10am - 4pm also also attending at a number of the events will be Cycling Projects and Travelwise with free information and advice about public transport in your area.
