Garstang Super 8

Garstang Super 8 is a regular daily bus service, which runs as both a
conventional bus service with a fixed route and timetable and also has the
flexibility, within a designated area, to deviate from this route to pick up
passengers who have booked the bus in advance.
The bus is a low floor, easy access minibus with space on board for
buggies or a wheelchair. It also has a cycle rack with capacity for two bikes,
making the service useful for visiting the area by bike, or wanting to travel
one way by bus and back home by bike.
How do i catch the bus?
It's simple - Super 8 is the same as any bus service. If you live on the
route - the blue line on the map - you just wait at the nearest bus stop.
Please arrive at your stop a few minutes before the bus is due. Where
there are no bus stops the service operates hail and ride and the bus will
stop anywhere on route where it is safe to do so.
If you live some distance off the route - in the shaded green areas on the
map - or if, due to mobility problems, you are unable to get to a bus stop,
the bus will come to you if you follow the simple steps below.
You must book the bus in advance by ringing the Super 8 driver on
0796 88 88 88 2 between the hours of 0900 and 1600 Monday to
Saturday. (Off-route booking places are limited to 2 for each journey.
This allows the bus to keep to the timetable).
Telephone bookings will be accepted under operating criteria. The driver
will explain any conditions when you ring.
