Bustxt

What is bustxt?

bustxt is a new service that sends you the times of the next three or four buses due at your chosen stop direct to your mobile phone.
The great thing about bustxt is that you can:

  • Access times for any bus stop
  • You don’t need to carry a bus timetable with you
  • Save the bus times in your mobile – no need to have a pen handy to write them down
  • Save the bustxt number in your phone to use again and again

How does it work?

Most bus stops in Lancashire have a unique eight character code beginning with lan (short for Lancashire) e.g. landtajw

Find your code:

  • Displayed at bus stops
  • If you are travelling on the Orbit service 88a or 88c in Preston you can find your code by entering the street name or location in the box below. For all other bus routes  Click Here

Location:

Once you have your code simply enter it in a message and text to 84268 and in a few seconds you’ll receive a reply giving you the times of the next three or four buses due at your stop.

What does it cost?
bustxt costs 25 pence per message sent (plus your usual network charges).
